The CBR program targets persons with disabilities in the communities who are usually discovered by field workers. These include persons with physical, visual, hearing and speech impairments, intellectual and mental impairments, as well as those with multiple impairments. While the ophthalmic, physiotherapy, orthopaedic and radiological services of the Centre were established due to the secondary effects of leprosy, those persons with disabilities in surrounding villages began to avail of these services. The Centre, due to her specialties, take care of those with physical, mental and visual impairments; others are referred to relevant service providers, and in most cases, given financial and other assistance to access the needed services. The Centre networks with a variety of professionals, service providers and Non-Governmental Organizations in the CBR programme. Some of these NGOs are; Christian Blind Mission (CBM), Liliane Foundation, German Leprosy relief Associations and philanthropic organizations/individuals.
